The Music of Rise of Prussia?

Wed Apr 29, 2009 10:30 pm

My favorite period for classical music.
What are some pieces of period music that will be in the game or that you would like to hear in the game?

I'll start with an easy one: Hohenfriedberger Marsch

Howdy, Tony,

Nice bumping into you again.

I just wanted to say hello to another familiar face from WG and MMG.

I don't know the answer to your question. I had been involved with the securing the music (US Army contracts - Fife and Drum) for WIA, but I am not sure what's been done for ROP.

I recall you were modding TC2M. Have you done any modding of AACW or any of our other games?

Take care.

Hey ya Mark,

I rarely read Wargamer, maybe once a week, sometimes I even read your threads :D
Last time I checked MMG was many months ago.

I've been doing a few small mods for AACW, mostly for my own use, you must have missed my posts in that sub-forum somehow...

Really looking forward to ROP, it will be the first PC game I'll purchase since NCP.

Although embarrassing, I have to admit that I don't follow everything on these forums. I apologize for not being aware of your mods to AACW. Having access to the Internet is like receiving 10 copies of the Sunday Times each day! :)

Something Barry Lyndon-esque perhaps...

Hohenfriedberger Marsch is a part of RoP musics.

We ask Deutsch Bundeswehr for military musics but copyrights are too high for us.

If you have some right free music for the period it can be interesting

He may be slightly past Frederick's time, but Luigi Boccherini was employed by Frederich Willhelm II and Napoleon's brother.

The playlist could be this

Perhaps the musicians come from the Deutsch Bundeswehr, but for copyright should you contact with the producer?

http://www.studios-berlin.de/

In the Bundeswehr page the producer seems different Tonstudio AMOS

Googling Tonstudio AMOS directs you to this site

We already negotiated with studios-berlin, but unfortunately, did not reach an agreement, although the Bundeswehr people really wanted to help us. However, the rights for this music are not owned by the Bundeswehr, but studios-berlin. :(
