Being of Austrian descent (well, partly at least :) ) I'll gladly offer my services to Maria-Theresia. That I would have to come over from Ireland to do that should be an added bonus. :)

Since the rest of my ancestors are mainly catholic Silesians or from areas annexed by Prussia in the 19th century, I don't have much choice anyway. My forefathers would be ganging up on me in the afterlife if I supported Fritz. :bonk:

Do you think I could get Maria-Theresia to give me some pandours to secure those important breweries for Her Most Apostolic Majesty's Army? :dada:
Frederick II. at Kolin to his retreating soldiers: "Kerls, wollt ihr denn ewig leben?"

Unfortunately we don't know his reaction to the answer he got: "Für dreizehn Pfennig wars für heute genug!"
(basically: I'd say we did enough today, considering what you pay us. :D)

To misquote Shakespeare: "Thou shalt see me at Kolin.“ :mdr:

I just can't wait for the release. I am so sick of the AI of the only other game of that time period that I got. :(

For those who can't wait more, have a look at this game, just released.
Suggestion for an "apéritif" before Ageod's one...

Yep a very good tactical game. I was a betatester. It has been mentioned more than once that if Horse and Musket's tactical gameplay could be melded into the AGEOD games it would be the Holy Grail of gaming. :w00t:

That means Florent probably won't have the pleasure to see the painting of Frederick used by Matrix on RoP's box art as well.

Any news on that? After all it could be argued that those conflicts are at least as important, if not more so, for the Rise of Prussia(TM) as the Seven Years War. ;)

That's good to hear. :)

Wish I could help, but I don't think the books/references I have at home offer much insight and you guys will have checked all online ressources certainly. :(

it's amazing that maria theresa and austria survived and even prevailed in the austrian succession war, even more than that frederick survived the SYW

Are you using the Oesterreichischer erbfolge-krieg, 1740-1748

There seems to be a lot of information there in german so a deep look is needed ;) and also a lot of time :(

Edit: There is clean info like this available
