Can't see to get my Gamers gate 1.01 to work with either the 1.4 or 1.45. Do I need a milestone patch? 1.2, 1.3?

You shouldn't. Others have reported problems with a GG installation but its not universal. Mine is from GG and patched to 1.4.5 with no problems (which is no re-assurance if you are having problems).

Best to post the actual issue you are having and any messages etc in the tech support forum

I would really encourage you to open a ticket with Tech Support over at the Matrix site. I have a Paradox version of PON that gave nothing but problems when updating or adding the DLC titles but the last round of issues on a new computer were addressed quickly by the tech support people and I cannot praise them too much.

Open a ticket, be specific with the issues that you're having and include screen shots and/or log files that explain your problems.

I did both.....Sorry just ended up buying the Steam version in the end. Already lost 3 hours trying to fix/search lol. All good. Mind you last time I buy from gamers gate. Hate to admit it but to save time I will just buy everything with Steam. I have had so many troubles with getting my last decade of Matrix games up and running with Steam. They are all now up and working great. NOT a fan of STEAM by any means but it is seamless I find

Not fan either. Then don't buy at Steam. I fixed the problem by no longer buy any Paradox games, and buy only drm-free (GamersGate is not, despite what they tell): Buy at Matrix website, but not the Steam version.

Same issue. Gamersgate version, can't start the grand campaign after the latest patch. Slitherine/Matrix kindly refused my kind request for a new serial (I provided them with proof of purchase, purchase order and confirmation). Gamersgate themselves have so far not answered me. What a bummer. I have bought almost all AGEOD games. What would they lose if they were to hand me a new serial?

EDIT: Did end up buying a new copy from AGEOD website.

Ya too bad. Oh well. Pain of modern wargames. Beats though the old days of board wargames lol. Mind you they last forever lol.

Hi David,

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately Paradox sold the AGEOD games on Gamersgate and other stores. They did not provide AGEOD or ourselves with the records for these, so we have no way to validate these keys, so unfortunately we cannot register the games or provide Steam keys for games bought on GamersGate or other sites. We can only support keys bought directly from AGEOD or from the Slitherine or Matrix shops. We are sorry for this.
