decreasing war score

Tue Nov 01, 2016 2:37 pm

I am playing as Ottomans. Russia declared war on me. finally I managed to sink most of all fleets. I won every major battle and captured 8-10 cities. but war score still -10 because it decreases every turn by 1.
that's why I can't offer peace except accepting defeat. Russia didn't offer peace because it thinks winning the war because of score. so I am stuck an endless war.
before there was no decrease in war score. it started with the new patch. what is this? why my war score decreasing till -10 while I am winning? and how can I remove it from game?

no, this is different. when war started my war score immediately started to drop by 1 every turn till -10. then stops. if I win a major battle and my score rises it falls again to -10 again and again.
in the bottom panel it says:
"in the war against Russia, warscore decreases by -1. it stands now at -10."

When a nation is at war with an 'organized major' nation and is not an organized major, you now lose 1 WS per turn. You should be able to offset that with victories and occupying territories, but you just can't wait for the war to ends by itself now.

Not without a change of code that would affect everyone. You can discuss that with others people and it can be removed from PON if most people don't like that.

Maybe the loss could be randomized with differences of prestige?

I think this is very realistic, though hard on someone playing the Ottomans.

it's part of the common code base of the engine. It was added to WON and so PON got it. I have removed specifically for PON for the next patch.
