How to Check Game Version?

Does anyone know how to check the version of the game? I've got my copy on Steam, if that affects the answer.

The safest method - besides the one, looking at the lower right corner when starting the game - would be to look into the file !Main log.txt in folder ...Steam\SteamApps\common\Pride of Nations\VGN\Logs.
There's a line "...time... (Reporting) Game Engine version: PON 1.03" - et voila!
Right now the quickfix 1.03a is NOT reported as 1.03a but also as 1.03...
Hope this is the thing you wanted to know.
