Portugal holds two foreign investment fruit sites in the San Franciso region that have a collection point and even offshore merchants were built and sent over to the SF trade box to see if that would help, but these sites though ON and shown in the F4 and F11 windows as producing yield nothing back to the homeland.

bjfagan mentioned problems with Baku not yielding oil - sounds similar to me.

The one oddity of the region is that its tooltip and name in displays such as F11 is "Golden Gate," the name of the adjoining sea region.
