I just got bored of great britains long and far reaching colonial management. I turned to france to hope for more direct regional conquering ( hoping its possible) but I cant forge casus belli to nobody. not even switzerland or belgium
solutions, explanations or fixes?
anything.

to be able to forge CB or to declare war, you need to have a certain level of aggressiveness in the first value in F1 ledger... (guess it was at least 7 or 8...)

As France there are lots of natives to fight and Tunisia should give you a run with the prospects of gaining some resource areas to boot.

That's history. No European Power of the 19th century could just go about invading one of it's neighbours for no reason. What reason would France have had to invade Switzerland? What reason outside the crisis system to invade Belgium (which would almost certainly lead to a world war against the UK and Prussia/Germany)?

okay then. fine. any way to speed up boost chances or control for a crisis? I already put agresiveness to max though I doubt itll change much except in colonies, which would be tipical in this game

Sour relations, set yourself up for a crisis (put troops on borders of nations, that is a good way to do it). Become reckless and chances are you will end up in a war.

I did put soldiers on borders. anyway problem solved. napoleon 3 is on the throne and I can declare casus belli

Bored with Britain? What happened during your Crimean War? Surely, tackling the Russian Bear would keep boredom at bay.

youre joking? you guys attack russia? what is there to gain? "reparations" aka 50 dollars a year for 20 years? nah. plus youd have to transport everybody far away. what do you gain from it (dont forget national morale falls during long periods unless you do quick progress)

I agree with you, but the statement was that GBR was not exciting enough. Tackling the Russian bear has to be enough excitement for anyone.

I mostly find satisfaction in seeing my empire (preferably on national zone) expand and grow. the only thing I do in expanding say singapore is assuring that one day when colonial becomes banned, I will get my economical ass kicked by their top worldwide port. wow yepee
Try France

[quote="Le Ricain"]Bored with Britain?
Try France and try to colonize the world while increasing merchant and industrial production. No easy feat and quite a challenge. The french love to go on strike to make it even more difficult, but its fun--just don't get into any wars, unless they attack you first.

In a few years, the third empire will be declared, and it will be much easier to forge a casus belli. It is not automatic, but if you try a few times, it will work. I did this to take Wallonia and Luxembourg from Belgium, which gave the power of France a huge boost. I am now preparing for war with Austria, which has overrun Sardinia Piedmont, and anticipate no problem in forging a casus belli. They have a lot of troops, and I have the problem of getting through the Alps, but what are navies for?

looking at austria position and the lack of interest in most war score uses ( except teritorial) whats the point of franco austrian war? none? so I just beat him fast without losing to much and save italie or is there a catch?
