AAR Subforum?

Thu Jun 16, 2011 7:17 pm

I know you guys are really busy trying to get the patch out but will there be an AAR subforum for this game in the war room?

There's one over at Paradox now:

Got a few of them running, including mine :)

I'll repeat what I asked for before. It would be good if we could have all the usual sub-forums over here. I particularly regret not having a "Help to improve PoN" topic here...

Wasn't disagreeing with you.
In fact, it gets old going back and forth.
I prefer this forum.
It would especially be nice to get the non-English forums working here.

With no offense to the magnificent community here. PON was made under the Paradox name without any reference to Ageod. A deal was probably struck that all discussions about the game and various sub forums would be located at the Paradox forums. That is understandable.

I would guess that the likelihood of sub forums for PON here are pretty low.

Might as well close these down then.

I agree totally with the OP though, these forums have a much better tone and feeling. It has nothing to do with Paradox, they are not responsible for their users ;) .

These forums seem to be quite heavily hacked though so maybe the security issues is a reason enough to not maintain these forums.

Question then becomes, how to treat the older games? They were not published by Paradox.

Its hurts the PON community as a whole, that it is splitted between two forums.

Unfortunatelly Paradox lacks certain forum topics that we always had here. Add to that the larger forum population and laziness of many posters over at Paradox (starting new topics for things discussed ten times before, senseless topic names, all of that leading to a flood of new topics and updated topics) and it becomes a tough job to stay up to date on serious discussions or to start ones. That is why I'm particularly missing the old help to improve sub-forum over here. While a new post won't disapear over night under flood of nonsense here, it still makes little sense to post rather technical information that no one but the devs, betas and a few other hard core players will read in the main forum here...

And yes, I'm following discussions and posting on both forums, doing so on Paradox seems a bit like a drain on my time. But overall I can usually get a good idea of what's happened overnight on both forums, that in the short time between getting up in the morning and having to go to work...
