Research screen?

Am I blind? The manual says press f5 to access the research screen, but f5 opens a strategic map. Also none of the f1-f12 keys opens a research screen.

I am playing france on turn 1 of the grand campaign.

F7 opens the research screen.

Sorry, apparently having "trackIR" (the head tracking hardware/software for flight simming) open was intercepting the keyboard commands for f7 or something.

It works now
