Fleets and Supply

I had most of my fleets go out of supply in a single turn in my game as the US. I hadn't moved any of them from their starting positions, nor moved them. What do I need to watch to ensure my far-flung ships get supplied?

I believe you have to move them into a port, where you can get supply, on occasion.

Are they the small patrol fleets that are flung out in various oversea zones? Check which countries you have supply agreements with, and dock them in their nearest ports.

I believe there's generally a British port right next door to where they start, and that you have a mutual supply agreement with them from the beginning.

bring all the US squadrons home; there is no need for them to be there and they will attrit over time. Leave your trade fleets in place--they do not attrit
