Just d/l'd it.

A meaty tome indeed!

A quick glance reveals that I'll be lucky to finish it before the release.

Hope everyone likes reading... ;)

It seems there is a problem with the link to the forum, when I click on it, I'm redirected to "Cities in Motion" forum.
Check it please.

It's not just you, I was unable to download it the first few times I tried. Keep trying, eventually it should start.

To the developers, I found a mistake of the manual at 58 - 59 pages.

The Great Powers include the British Empire, France, Prussia (and later Germany), Austria, Russia, the United States, the Empire of Japan, and the Ottoman Empire.

You should correct it from Ottoman to Sardinia(Italy) before the game has out. ;)

According to manual major countries(Great powers) posses the characteristics of military, cultural, economical strenghts and into some extent united national identity(not elitist). Also in the manual it states that Ottomans can lose great power status while other countries can rise from minor orginized status to major orginized status. Quite logical explanation imho.

As the fact Unification of Italian states were later in the period as far as I know as well as colonizing and gaining military strenght much later.

Well, at the very least Italy should be added since they are a playable faction. I'm not sure if Ottomans are playable, but hopefully they will be.

Well they are playable as Sardinia-Piedmont as it was historically.
I look forward to playing them.

So should at least add Italy(Sardinia) as a great power (= a playable nation), and I hear in many places that Ottoman has no longer added as a playable nation in the first release.
One of examples is product page: http://www.prideofnationsgame.com/game-info
Also in the 8 players AAR, one of players was playing as Italy(Sardinia) at the 1st turn of the grand campaign.

It was just a naming issue.

I also hope Ottoman Empire gets added in, I always liked playing that nation.

Likewise on page 53, it says that the research interface can be accessed by pressing F5. It is F7 instead. Also it says that you can "speed up a Technology's research progress by using the button to the left of the research item's name." I've tried a number of times and nothing happens. Playing as Russia.
