Great Projects

To me one of the most interesting parts of the game will be the ability to transform the world with the great projects that re-shaped the military, economic and political situation, like the Suez Canal.
Pocus has said "you will get more than a multi choice event: "do you want to build the Suez Canal, yes/no". and tada, insta-built! We are thinking of creating special, temporary sites, for these kind of huge human works."
So my question is what projects should be on a list like that.
1. Suez Canal (obvious)
2. Panama Canal ( ditto)
3. Trans Siberian Railroad ( still no word on how railroads will be handled, but obviously a key development in Russia's ambitions in the East)

4.Trans Continental Railroad (not as sure about its influence)
Other possibilities:
5. Kiel Canal (how important was it?)
6. Orient Express (primarily economic impact I suppose)

I'm not sure if things like bridges and dams should go on a list like this. But I'd love to hear what others might think.
