Looks good

But I think that the map is a tad too greenish, IMHO :D

I think I prefer the "Sandra" map look, but we shall see...

Now how often can we expect updates? Is hourly too much to ask? :D

Hello gunnergoz, are you the same one whom I know from the Paradox forum of HOI3.Sorry for bothering you,but it seems to me that we have the same hobbies.I am not only playing AGEod-games,which I still prefer, but also some P'dox titles and even some Matrix games.I am always happy to see the same guys lurking around at the same sites.

Hi hohenlohe, yep it's me, good to see you here too. I am very much looking forward to this game, even more so than some others because the era has so much to offer and AGEOd is the best publisher of all, IMHO. They really care about us players here and that is hard to beat.

I flew over that map this weekend. I had just hit the "F" key to drop flaps and come in for a landing at Paris when all of sudden it dawned on me that it wasn't a flight sim, but for a moment the landscape really had me going. :)

What a gorgeous map!

You are correct. The French flag is there as the player is playing as France.

Looking at the area shown made me wonder, will players be able to build the Panama Canal, the Suez Canal, perhaps others that never were built? Obviously they have a huge impact on naval operations and trading. Both the Panama and Suez Canal were major undertakings that took diplomacy or at least gunboat diplomacy to achieve.

Quoting Pocus form the first page of this thread :)

"You can play top-down or tilted, with 2D counters or 3D sprites. It is mostly 2D but with the map tilt it seems 3D..."

So i'ts a tops down 2d map as the previous ones but you can tilt it so it looks 3d-ish

What we really need is a VGN expansion called "Queen Victoria vs Martians" in the spirit of this promising "historical wargame" i just found the other day.
Check the trailer ;)

Oy vey! :mdr:

But for the record: I'll personally buy a beverage of choice (a la beer or suitable substitute) for those who create a playable "War of the Worlds" scenario for VGN :D

No, 'Turtledove mod' must run through at least 5 incarnations - and each time it dies it must be suggested as a brand new idea ;) Quite how it differs from a Confederate Victory mod I've yet to determine, but I know that Turtledove mods have their own rules to play by...
