Cant invade small island chains

The British are officially at war with Portugal and are trying to land marines on the Azores and other Portugese island chains supported by the navy.

Unfortunatly no matter what compbaination of ships and troops I use I get a message telling me that I cannot enter this area.

Its not just Portugese island chains thats the problem I also tried to occupy the Hawiian chain before the Americans get there. The same message came up.

Why wont the game let me execute this operation?

cant you ship into the area?

or

cant you disembark and invade?

Startetd with 1.01 Quebec and ended / testing mods with 1.02 getting Hawaii was never an issue for me

if the game is just talking about you cannot enter the sea region, it could simply mean the maximum distance from a harbor is too long.

I remember it was impossible for me to get the US American Pacific Fleet from the western coast to the Phillipines, for the torpedo boats could not run that far. I had to exclude them from the stack.
but i dont remember if i got the identical message from the game...

My ships wont enter these areas, it sounds like the problem you experianced with the Phillipines.

Also Iam getting game crashes that commenced as soon as I reached October 1870.

Check if your units can leave coastal waters. This is what happens with the Pacific Fleet.

Yes I loaded them onto transports that couldnt enter the Portugese mid Atlantic colonies.

Did you check ALL units in the stack? In the Pacific Fleet I'm referring (Spanish-American War, check it yourself) there is only ONE unit that can't go in deep waters and the whole stack is... stuck.

Yes these were oceanic transport units that I had used for other missions and they were carrying marines.

This as become slightly irrelevant because more important the game is now crashing every turn since I reached October 1870.

Iam runing the 1.02 Patch and I wonder if it cant cope with the campaign game past October 1870.

Have you still one River Transport inside your stack then it will not move there....please take again a look inside your stack,try it purely with your transports as a trial,then look at your warships...

and because of your game crash then send a savegame file zipped as attachment to the Phils...

As the British I have no river transports at all.

How do I send the AI data dumps to Phil

Perhaps the crashes and the transport problem are related to issue with the 1.02 Patch?
