Brief Interface Suggestions

Mon Jan 12, 2009 12:46 am

1) Since it is necessary for the player to manage purchases, research, budgets, and other items separately for each country, would it be possible to switch from one country to another while still inside of (for example) the unit purchasing menu? As it is now, we have to close the menu, navigate to the territory of the new country, click on a territory, and then open the correct menu again. Maybe a row of clickable flags on the menu title bar would work for shortcuts.

2) The Enter key (I think) cycles through one's military units if pressed while a unit is already selected. Would it be possible to cycle in reverse order as well? It's a pain when you accidentally cycle past the one you actually want. Maybe Ctrl-Enter could serve here.

In general, having to click on a province of a nation to switch to that nation is clunky and weird. Please, a row of flags or nations's names on a menu !

Yep-this would be nice. Perhaps a little drop down menu of allied nations in the top bar is doable.

The Ctrl-Enter key suggestion is great! I will try to do my best.

The other changes require time... job for 1.06 version... :D
