Unusable Air Units in Reserves?

Thu Dec 11, 2008 5:25 pm

Just played the Caporetto scenario using 105a and noticed something odd: there are air units in the reserves of several of the armies? The problem seems to be that one cannot assign missions to the air units if they are in the reserves, and the "move to front line" button for the air units was grayed out, so I couldn't use them at all. I think the fix could be not allowing air units in the reserves, or coming up with a way to assign air units in reserve to a specific mission.

Otherwise the Caporetto scenario ran fine with 105a.

Checked. The missions can be given...
Now I'm going to add the display of the "send to front-line/reserves" button also for air squadron.

I guess I didn't try selecting the air unit in the reserves, and then assigning the mission down in the display at the bottom. My mistake. It is a good fix to allow the air units to be moved back to the front line display though. It will avoid confusion.

Thanks for checking, as always.

1.05B will allow you to switch air squadrons between front-lines and reserves, exactly like all other units.
