Installation Tip

I finally got around to eliminating the "copy 2" which would start as the default game. On my system, the game would unpack in the "Program Files", and then install. During installation, it created another folder in the programs list, and the other one did not completely self delete. During my recent new install, I made sure that the actual installation went into the same folder. Another option is to create a new folder on the desktop, and run the install from there. You still cannot trust the presented destination folder, you should navigate to the remnants of the old one so you have just the one-otherwise, make sure the old install is completely gone.

There are some clear benefits for me after changing it to one folder. The habit of the "hand" getting stuck on buttons (especially the "next") has completely ended. I can also move the hand cursor around while the AI is working. There is also a noticeable drop in system use.

If you ended up with two program folders like I did, I would suggest a new install, you will like the results.

Thank you, Maestro.

I think I'm having a very similar problem. On installation I found that I wasn't getting the intro display so I uninstalled and reinstalled. I specified a new installation path and it now seems that the game installed both in my Programs folder and in the newly specified path. Now when I open from the shortcut it throws the whole thing to the toolbar and opens copy 2 which I have to access from there.

You've helped me to understand what's happening.

Is something being done about this, guys?

Glad I could help.

The un-install did not get rid of the program files entirely, so I had to do some deleting. This caused me some difficulties for about an hour :) -techi, I am not, but I always win in the end.

The root problem for me (and apparently some other's) is that the installation program file does not entirely delete, and a second folder is created with the same name, and many of the same files in the program list.

I can say with certainty that the game ran better after that was corrected.
