Calvinus:
With the fixes you have identified recently (since 1.08F), any idea when the 1.08G patch will be released ???

As soon I have enough fixes and improvements, we can start a new beta patching session.

This is the state of the art for 1.08G:

New features:
- Army roster now indicates if there are wounded corps

Improvements:
- Landings on enemy beach-heads is allowed now only through friendly controlled sea zones (so including also coastal areas)
- Naval control missions now have effect also on coastal areas bordering the open sea zone targeted by the naval mission
- Naval control of sea zones is now kept till the end of next Interphase
- At the end of Interphase, control of open sea zones is resetted
- At the end of Interphase, control of coastal sea areas to set back to original nationality

Fixed bugs:
- Fixed bug in naval path calculation
- Fixed bug in Naval Control missions
- Fixed an erratic game freeze occurring when evacuating fleets from port

Honestly do we have something like... 1 patch a week? It's impossible for us to follow you Calvinus!

I hope this is not a critic. I'm working to introduce as many improvements as requested by most of you.
Also, next patch will be a beta. So only for volunteers. ;)

I personally want to thank you for the Beta patches. :coeurs:

One of the best ways this community can help you improve the game is by finding all the hidden "bugs" and suggested improvements that you have implemented. After all, more sets of eyes are better than just one set of eyes in finding problems.

IMHO, the betas are a good thing  . I like to get any potential game improvements ASAP.

Yeh I also hope that was not meant as a bad critic. Seriously, what other one man developer do you know that cranks out patches every week and includes improvements that you can actually see in the game that were mentioned by the community in the forums?

Man, be happy that Calvinus is as dedicated to the game as he shows by offering beta patches to EVERYONE so you can get the best gaming experience with WW1 possible ;)

I prefer regular and incremental small patches over huge patches that take months to be made in silence, IMHO.

What's most important is interactive feedback between the players and the developers. And on that, I cannot complain at all.

"Good news! The latest AI improvements in 1.08G are giving nice results!

I see the Germans in your save planning and executing a Grand Offensive with a lot of troops in June 1916 against Saint Mihel and Val de Moselle! But also against Belfort, even though with a bit less forces. And last but not least a secondary offensive agains the Britons in Maubege."

I'm doing my best to send the patch to Philippe later tonight, so that he will be able to publish it tomorrow in the evening.

But please don't forget it will be a beta patch. So you could find some glitches... ;)

Understood, but (1) it should further advance the game and (2) it should fix some more of the "bugs" that were found this week by other players.
