Ghost battles ?

I do not know if this is a bug or not.
I had sometimes the ocurrence - in the Serbia scenario - of battles between one side (Serbia AI) and noone, in Sarajevo. It just appears as a battle result report, between 1 army and nobody. Unfortunately I have no pic or savegame, but it has happened a couple of times in the first miliotary turn.
Anybody seen this ?

Sometimes when I hit next battle,a battle result screen will flash up too fast to read, but it seems to fight a battle somewhere,and advances itself to the next battle. All very fast!

This has happened to me when I have ended up attacking an empty enemy HQ unit.

Yes, or when the enemy uses the "Retreat before battle" rule (see Options window).
