Beta-Patch 1.04b

This is a new fix, for some purely technical matters (saves, CTDs). Calvinus will post the changes later...

Herewith the current status of 1.0.4a/b:

Improvements:
- "Next turn/phase" button is no more hidden when entering the Reinforcements phase
- Persian Gulf is no more marked as a "decorative" area, so fleets can be moved there even if it's still named "Persian Gulf decorative"

Fixed bugs:
- Added a key correction in Land Battles neural networks INI file in order to prevent infinite AI loops in Main Offensive
Major trench battles
- Fixed a rare CTD in Military AI (for savegames only)
- Added the correct NATO symbols for Mountain & Marine units (forgot in the previous patch)
- Corrected a DB mistake in Political Options for Warfare Economy increase
- Fixed the bug in victory determination when playing a second scenario within the same game session
- Fixed the map glitches upon exit from the Breakthrough / Retreat / Counter-Attack planning window during battles
- Fixed the neutrals' diplomatic borders violation bug
- Added the check on max diplomatic missions per player per turn


I marked in bold the 1.0.4b news.

Also, as said before, the mysterious problem on patch install if fixed: no more fresh install from zero is needed to have the game playable!

As soon you volunteers finish the testing of this 1.0.4b, we can publish it as "public" and "official". That means this patch is still a beta. ;)

Améliorations:
- "Tour/Phase suivant" le bouton reste activé y compris au début de la phase de renforts
- la mer 'Persian Gulf' n'est plus considérée comme "decorative", donc les flottes peuvent s'y déplacer (même si sa dénomination reste "Persian Gulf decorative"...)

Bugs corrigés:
- Correction d'un fichier INI pour les réseaux neuronaux des batailles terrestres pour l'IA afin d'éviter les boucles dans les batailles de tranchées lors des grandes offensives
- Correction d'un bug CTD rare d'IA militaire (sur les sauvegardes)
- Correction des symboles OTAN manquants pour les unités de montagne et de marine (oubli dans le patch précédent)
- Correction d'une erreur de DB dans les Options Politiques pour l'augmentation de la production de guerre.
- correction du bug sur la détermination de la victoire quand on rejoue le même scénario une seconde fois dans la même session.
- correction des erreurs d'affichage sur la carte lors de la sortie des fenêtres de planification des Percées / Retraites / Contre-Attaques pendant les batailles
- correction du bug de 'violation des frontières' des neutres
- vérification ajoutée pour le nombre de missions diplomatiques par joueur et par tour.


Les nouveautés 1.0.4b sont en gras.

Comme indiqué précédemment, le problème rare d'installation du patch est aussi résolu. Plus besoin de tout ré-installer à nouveau.

Dès que les volontaires auront fini de tester ce patch, on le publiera de manière officielle. Pour l'instant il reste en version beta.

I just want to be sure about this. I did not install 1.0.4a because of the reinstall problem. So I want to know if it is ok to install b without a?

1.0.4b is all inclusive, so you could even have only 1.0.3 so that applying 1.0.4b is enough.

For the future patches, consider I always do all-inclusive patches, unless differently stated. :)

Clean re-install and patch to 1.04 b. Sounds on. Played a bit of GC 2 players, (bad mouse lag during AI phases), saved in the begining of military phase (during AI thinking), quit to main menu and got a CTD (with unresponsive mouse) when loading Serbia scenario in the same session.

IIRC similar thing happened with 1,03

CTDs on 2nd scenario load inside the same game session fixed yesterday night. You have to wait 1.0.4c

i install 1.04b, the thigs i notice are:

you can not loaded a save game from 1.04a

when i try to send ambassador with a value of one to a contry they are treated as ambassador with a zero value ( at 75% not alway...)

as well, when my screen saver take over and i go back to the game (on pause) the screen is black (game not responding). so i need to ctrl alt del.

Have you given a name too long?

I can do nothing, sorry. All DirectX objects (textures) are invalidated. It happens also if you lock the PC... :(

So it means the savegame is corrupted. I normally play my old savegames...
If you wish you can send me your save by email, so I can check what happened.
