Area ownership

Fri Nov 21, 2008 1:04 pm

Maybe someone already asked for that, or a short key exists (but I do not find it so far) ;)

The problem I have occurs when I conquer ennemy area, the flag does not change on the map (only the text change).

It would be a great addition if something visual could be add to see who controls areas (the flag, or a statement showing in 2 colors who controls). So far, I have to go on diplomatic screen and I look at the green/red areas to be sure.

But I find strange to go to diplomatic statement to see the military control :bonk:

You mean the control of cities, right? You have to watch the flag close to the city name.

Control of cities is then transformed into ownership at the end of the turn, because political effects are applied (national resurgence & co.).

OK,

But what about the control of area without cities (especially those with RR)? ;)

The flag is updated, so I see always.

RR is railroad?
If you see the railroad point not converted, it's why you passed the area, obtained the control, but not converted the rails. :D So it's right.

Rather small picture than long comments :D

I would like to understand why in Memel Area: the town is Russian and the flag shown on the area is still the German one?

And why the text still says: Owned by Germany/controlled by Russia (I guess it is the same answer :thumbsup :) ?

And what should I do to see : owned by Russia/Controlled by Russia?

Because it is very confusing to see ennemy flag on your back ;)

I repeat:
Control of cities is then transformed into ownership at the end of the turn, because political effects are applied (national resurgence & co.).

That's why you see the control of Russia and ownership to Germany on 1st turn. On 2nd turn the ownership will pass to Russia, triggering political effects... ;)
