Voice acting sounds?

Fri May 14, 2010 8:28 am

I gotta say: the 'charge', 'retreat', etc. voice overs during combat rounds are quite bad. Sometime I may try to dig up some sounds to replace them with, if they're just sound files out in the open.

Unless someone else has already done it? :sherlock:

I agree....the other sounds and music is great but the voices are terrible. Would be great if they said it in their actual language aswell.

Unless mistaken, they should be in the actual language of the troop. Now, if you have copyright free voices, then I'm sure it would be beneficial both for WW1 and the AGEOD games :)

I replaced those (and other crazy ones like the loud telephone bell ring) with others, shortened up some of the exceptionally long sound files, etc. and posted the mod here, awhile back. ;)

Perhaps I'll use some of the shortened version in PON. Not sure, but perhaps. You don't mind?

LOL didn't notice this until today, Pocus.

Of course I don't mind, though PON has been out for awhile. :mdr:

These are still the stock sounds of WWIG (for the most part) but they've been shortened so they don't last a whole twelve seconds (for example) when clicking on a zone. Well.. that and changing the weird tin can yells of "charge!" and such. :mdr: So they're still AGEOD's.
