Boot Camp

Tue Feb 12, 2013 4:48 pm

Hello All, new member to the forum here. Actually own the board game this was based on but never got past a few turns given its massive size and questionable translation of the rules from the original French. Anyways, I was quite excited to find that the computer version so closely mirrors the board game but my laptop is a macbook pro. Has anyone had any luck running the game via bootcamp? Also, which version of windows does the game generally run better in XP or 7? I have both available and would go with whichever provides the least amount of technical issues given that I will already be dealing with some of the quirks of running windows on a Mac. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I run WW1gold in bootcamp, but in a iMac 27 i7 core with 8 gig RAM.
Using Windows 7.

Much less problems than when I ran it on a PC, but that may have to do with extra RAM...

No idea if your MacBook pro will be up to it...

Why not try the demo ?

I do plan on downloading the demo. Just getting ready to set up bootcamp and wanted to make sure it would be worthwhile. Thanks for the info!
