Similar problem reported by a couple of other guys, no solution reported yet. Come sort of compatibility issue...? :(
Have you tried to uninstall the game and install it back from zero?

Changing your motherboard is for your OS the same as changing your whole PC. Most certainly you had to reinstall your Windows, and most of the games and other programs also need a reinstall. If you are unable to uninstall, try simply to delete your WW1 folder, and then clean your registry (using for example CCleaner; you may also try to manually search your registry and delete all references about WW1- although messing directly with your registry can be tricky - other forum members like Nikel may be able to help you more in this). Then you should try to reinstall WW1 (maybe asking Philthib for the WW1gold full package)

Hope this helps somehow
