MUlti Player Diplo Stop

Sat Jun 12, 2010 11:19 pm

I am sure my game is running fine. I just finished another couple of hours of MP gaming without problem. Then while doing a test connection and initial play with another player the game would not advance out of the diplomatic phase of early August. We could still chat and move around the map, but it would not advance to the military phase.

We both are using the 108F patch. My opponent got his patch from ageod, even though the game is from Matrix. Could this be an issue?

Anyway, I was able to save. Help would be appreciated. This one opponent is part of a four-way game-I need him.

Thanks

It will take some time for me to work on this.

Thanks,

No problem. Our next game will be next weekend. I am not really sure if it was the game or not-perhaps a router thing-but not mine :) As I had multiple connections with the F patch without problems I was at a loss to understand what had happened there.

I would hope that the patches downloaded from here can be applied to the games from Matrix. That was the only thing different regarding the game. We will try again next weekend-regardless.

Thanks.

I don't think this is the cause. Matrix installers and patches are the same of AgeOD.

I will examine the saves as soon as possible.

What you can try is to resume the game on both PC in Multiplayer mode using your save, if you haven't done it yet.

I'll do exactly so on my LAN.

So Maestro...was it as fun as it sounds like it would be? I look forward to having a few weekends free to join a game.

Yes Andrew-I just long to play the game with the reduced work load offered in 4 player mode. I want time to shift generals, cause trouble in the colonies, and smell the roses :D .

I' looking forward to you joining the game-I hope your cursor problem gets fixed soon.

Ok I tested the save:

06 Maestro (Anthony) - host
the other player (BrianS) - client

Everything worked fine: I clicked the "End Phase" button and both PCs moved to Military phase, perfect synchro.

Thanks for checking. This is a case of a faulty router setting.
We will try again.
