Patch h

Sat Aug 29, 2009 2:43 am

I see patch "c" on menu screen. Patch h doesn't show up on game menu screen, but does show in the Vista control panel/programs menu. How do I know it's actually updated?
Thanks

Found patch listed in Version.Log, so I guess all is ok.

The reason is why the 1.06H is simply a zip file that does not contain the WW1.ini file, where the version string is stored. If you want to see the proper version in the main menu, open the WW1.ini file (use a text editor or double click the file icon) and edit the proper line.

GameVersion="1.0.6h"
Autosave=0
ModPath="Data"
Language="UK"

It seems to be correct here already. That is if I'm in correct file, however, menu still shows C.

Checked directory and path taken by patch. Both are correct. I blame the marriage of Vista and this economy model Inspiron. This lappy has been a buggy piece of stardust.
Anyway as I said version log and control panel/program uninstaller show H.

Anyway it's a mystere! :(

Right-click on the WW1.exe file icon and go to the Properties tab, examine the version, it should be 1.0.6.8 (it means 1.06H). Just to be sure you are playing the right executable... ;)

Would you believe there is no Version Tab for this Vista? It's true. I googled that and a xp installation, both of which I'm reading are very convoluted or impossible for this machine (Inspiron 1545...beware) . :bonk: :confused: :(
grazie amico

You can see WW1 version in Vista, it is tru3 that you cannot do it with some programs, but this is not the case of WW1

Hold your mouse over the .exe for an instant

Or right click on it and go to details
