reinstall problem

Thu May 28, 2009 4:06 pm

Hello AGEOD. I bought the game when it came out and downloaded it on my laptop. I want to take it off the laptop and use it on my desktop with my big new monitor, but the file it too big to burn on a cd. Any suggestions? Should I try a DVD? Can I download the game again? I am very tech illiterate.
thanks

How large is your setup-file? The version I have is from pretty early on, but even if I add the size of that and the size of the latest patch (which combined is more than the size of a newer setup-file would be), it is less than 600 MB which should fit quite nicely on a CD?

However, you have other options too:

- Using a DVD should work fine

- Share the files between the computers over the network (assuming that you have your laptop connected to the same network as your desktop). You can find a recipe on how to do it here: http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B304040&x=14&y=10
