Installation problems

I have just tried to install v1.01 from DVD. The process seemed to go fine but when it came to starting the game it failed saying that the serial key was invalid. Strange that, since I never got the chance to input it! I am running Vista.
Also, I cannot find a functioning link for patch 1.06A.
Help please

Never mind the key - on reinstalling I realised I had hit the box relating to inputing the serial key the first time around. Game will now start but I need a link to that patch.

I installed the patch but when I launch the game it still reads version 1.01. Any ideas?
