Is there any point in using drag and drop with fleets instead of using missions?

Anyone?

EDIT: I checked the manual again. You do have to move fleets before giving orders. But what then is the purpose of the "in port" order?

In Port ensures that they are back in port and available for repairs/reinforcements for the next turn or interphase. There may be occasions where a fleet with any move order could be intercepted and so remain at sea at turn's end but the In Port mission seems to prevent this from happening. Most useful after a battle or before an interphase begins. Also fleets must be sent to or already at sea when using a Convoy mission but need not be dragged and dropped to the port where the debarkation is intended.
