Still Waiting for a "Guns of August" Scenario

Still waiting for my ideal scenario:

West front only (although Tannenburg, only, could also be included from the east); August through September, 1914; historical warplans; no diplomacy, production, etc. If the Germans take Paris, or otherwise "break" the French they win. Otherwise they do not win; game over and the war goes on.

I would try my hand at it but I wouldn't know where to start. I would not think, however, that it would be so difficult for the developer. What do you say Calvinus ?

That is a small part of the whole game.In 1914,the victory is German's conquering of Paris before the trench warfare.
I think trench warfare is the essence of the first world war.

I don't really understand your question about emotions with respect to France. Anyway, I don't really have any emotional attachment to, or for that matter, any animosity toward France. I have read Barbara Tuchman's The Guns of August about 5 times since it was published in the 60's. It's one of my favorite books ever. This book made me fall in love with the time it describes.

Well, 1.08I is formally done. Tomorrow I will send the new patch to Philippe, that is supposed to be released as official.

I played the new 1914 Guns of August scenario a few times.

After several attempts I finally managed to reach Paris in October 1914.
The fortress capitulated only in the end of Nov.-Dec. 1914, following the last desperate assault!

She takes the position that the German Offensive didn't defeat the French; the subsequent "Miracle" of the Marne didn't defeat the Germans. Therefore, and tragically, the war went on. If you are not pretending you don't know my words.I will say it again.The history is not that what you want it is .If you want the history this way or that way ,you can let somebody make it for you in the game.You can add the German's quick victory to France.You can add the raid or even more fierce sea battle but which actually not happened in history ,you can even imagin that many things you want to satisfy your will.But we would not play ,and we will not accept it because it is not history .
Yes,Marne is a Famous Campaign in history .Does it happened in the first month of the WWI?
By the way I have read many books,such as the global history.No need to challenge my wisdom.

Is there going to be a additional Grand Campaign (2 or 4 player) created for this game that starts historically like this scenario ??? That way the war will start historically and then see if you can dulpicate history or alter it in the end.
