Gold troubles

I'm having troubles starting WW1 Gold, which i just bought. Everything works fine until i start a scenerio. Everything loads up and then the game stops working. The odd thing is that the Gold demo ran fine. No problems at all. After installing the patch, the game still says version 1.0.6b not 1.08

i went ahead and uninstalled and reinstalled... didnt work. i dont see what i could be screweing up so badly.

I have it working now. UAC was the culprit

Yes, it seems that on some PCs disabling UAC is a must.

On my PCs, I can play with UAC on, but I can't install the game... :bonk:
