Yet another gold question

I had a question about the installer-Will the download gold version be a complete install (and we just use our old serials) or, will it just be a 'patch' download. Sorry if this has already been asked before, I couldn't find it.

The Gold version is a full new game, standalone, and will need new serial numbers. The Gold Upgrade Kit is another option, for those who have already previous version of WW1, but will also need new serial.

There will be a free patch that shall improve old version for AI and bug fixes, but without any of the new features or map.

I don't know if I still have my old installer anymore, so, I'll probably just buy the gold outright and get a fresh install. I wanted to do a complete re-install for the gold anyways.
