Nuetrals Intervention

I'm playing a game as the CP (Germany and A/H together-almost cheating, but fun). I went with attacking Russia in 1914. It is now July of '15 and the UK, Italy, and Turkey are still neutral. Whenever the British get close to intervention I send a 2 or 3 level diplomat on a mission to smooth things over-it has worked repeatedly. I have also made reasonable efforts to get Italy, Bulgaria and Turkey into the CP-they get real close and then revert back to ceter nutrality (Turky seems to stay in the "red", but will not cross the line). Greece has entered the CP with minimal effort on my part.

I don't really have a problem with this situation, but I thought that the UK would enter the war regardless-in a given amount of time.

Is this WAD?

Not a WAD nor a bug. It's simply the fate of dice rolling... during the past five months only a couple of customers like you reported such an unlucky set of diplomatic "defiances". :neener:

Well, on the other hand the game looks at least a bit challenging... :)

Oh yes, this is an interesting campaign. As expected, the first few turns were a little frightening with the French pounding away in A/L. Everything is looking rosy now. There are some difficult chores, but I'm confident of success. I suspect that Russia will fold by the summer of '16-then on to France.

This may be my last time playing two nations at once-it seems a little unfair-especially if the two are A/H & Germany coordinating against Russia. I am going to try this same strategy playing as Germany only after this game is complete-I want to see how some late war events actually work.

Thanks for your work on the patches-the game is great. I wonder what you can do with a couple more patches?? :) Hey, its not just a job-it's an adventure. :hat:

So, the Turks entered the war in October '15. The Brits and Italians are still neutral, but Italy is leaning towards the CP. Apparently it is all still functioning.

The next task is to bring Italy into the fold. BTW, France is alone; Russia surrender in March/April '16 events period  . Interesting; I lost the Kerensky and Lenin events due to an event reshuffle-so those were never played. Russia just folded. I will get some minor food and EP reparations-nothing so great it seems-no territory except maybe what I had occupied with German/A/H forces.

I am pausing until tomorrow-I need to ponder this situation. This is what I was aiming for, but did not expect it so suddenly. There are now many options-I'm tempted to get greedy and blast through Belgium-but that would spoil the lovely relationship with GB.

I'm open to suggestions.

BTW, just what good does it do for A/H to use the P.A. "Annunzio Makes Speech" (or similar) for Italian intervention.

Basically its a wild throw of the dice. If Italy is leaning toward you anyways, I would not bother. :)

Thanks Tamas for the tip.
I had gotten side tracked and started another game in a single country mode. Playing as Germany I was able to get Italy in to the CP by August of '15-even with the war against Belgium and France.

I did not use the fiery speaker guy.

is it possible to send more than one level 3 diplomat to a country? or can you recall diplomats and then re-send them to the same country with the same effect?
