Question about building units

I've noticed that you have a limited selection of corps, when you go to the build screen. They're all named and some of them have specific ethnicities. Does this mean that you will eventually get them (or some of them) for free, in a later reinforcement phase, if you don't purchase them?

It seems that you do get free units from time to time, so basically I just want to know if those units are listed in the build screen, since it would suck to accidentally pay for a unit that you would have received for free on the next turn.

Edit: Also, I've noticed that Germany, in september 1914, can build all four headquarters on the list, for no cost. Is there any reason for not building them?

You see in the Build window only those corps/units that are not scheduled as reinforcements. Scheduled reinforcements are listed instead in the Statistics screen. Each nation has a limited number of corps/units. Corps and units are unique entities, not prototypes. So, when you build a unit, you don't build a copy of that type, but you build that unit.

New HQs are of fundamental importance for the filling of holes along the Front, the longer is your Front, the more HQs you need of! :)

Thanks a lot for clearing that up Calvinus.
