FoW and retreat question

Calvinus, has the FoW setting an impact on how fast the ai retreat from battle? I notice that if i disable FoW the ai retreats faster from battles even if it has a very good chance of winning it.

Yes probably. But try also increasing the AI aggressiveness level.

Consider anyway that one of the scheduled AI improvements is exactly to give more aggressiveness during battles (other points: more aggressiveness in planning naval missions, a better build process for front line contruction, etc. etc.).
