I launched an offensives against Vosges which I lost.
And didn’t take area.
But am told it was successful?
Is this right?

No, it's not right, unless the French decided to retreat for some reason. Doesn't appear to be the case. Stunning how basic stuff like this is still wrong. Nice free +10NW bonus though.
