Artillery Use

Wed Dec 17, 2008 1:47 am

I am wondering about the differences in artillery. I have noticed that field artillery will reduce minor forts, but I'm not sure about major forts. Is using regular artillery against major forts a waste of time/ammo?

Also, is there any difference in combat power during battles of F. artillery and siege artillery?

I don't know details, just that siege is better for forts. Regular (and siege) arty gives a column shift in normal attacks.

Siege arty gets better modifiers when siege-firing on forts, and I THINK if used as preliminary bombardment force for a major offensive. Otherwise, no differences.
