Need explanations this morning...

I am replaying Palistine this morning trying to get a good feel for combat and it is coming along.
I noticed some beds on the map. I assume they indicate a hospital present. If so, what effect do they have in the game?
My GHQ has 2 fighter and 1 bomber units. I would like to assing recon to the fighters and Tach support to the bomber. Do I have to detatch one or the other to assign diffent missions?
I battle the air units show as reserves. Do I have to move them to the committed line for the assigned mission to take place?
After one battle phase the combat values (attack and defense) of my attacking unit actually increased. What happened here?
Why doe the air unit recon value show as a negative value ie. -5?

Thanks and more questions coming I'm sure.

??? No beds to my knowledge... You are probably getting confusing with the bridgeheads symbols on beaches (in theory, they are landing poontoons...might look like beds?)

Think so...all planes in same stack must have same mission

Fixed, it works but it was unconsistent with the tooltip. It should be 5 indeed

At least put them in the Rear. ;)

You probably enacted some air technology that improved the dogfight and defence ability of your fighters, eh eh!

Activation of technologies in WW1 is automatic. You are not asked to do anything particular, except exploiting the concerned unit (example: using/browsing air units for air technos, using gas for combat gas techno, etc. etc.).

Calvinus, it was not an air unit that increased but an ANZ infantry unit. They changed from 5,6,5 to 6,7,5.
Also, recon if successful is to show the number of corps in enemy armys. Is this abstracted during the battle or does it show on the map or battle screen?

Probably a French unit after the "Shock" doctrine is abandoned?
Or a refilled unit?

If I remember correctly, some terrains give different penalties/bonuses in the first round of combat, than the rest. Could be that.
Otherwise I have no idea. Are you sure it was the same ANZAC unit? ;)

Yes with the Brits V army in Palistine. I'll play again and see if i can reproduce it.
