Some questions on sacking generals

Sun Dec 14, 2008 9:13 pm

A few things that are unclear to me about sacking generals

1) when you sack a general, is he removed immediately, or is his sacking attempt resolved at the next interphase?

2) how do you see the pool of generals that might be available for replacements if you choose to sack someone? I would think it would be important to know if you what the abilities of replacement leaders are before you make the decision to show a leader the door.

3) once sacked, how do you place a new general in command of the army?
"Wars are not all evil; they are part of the grand machinery by which this world is governed, thunderstorms which purify the political atmosphere, test the manhood of a people, and prove whether they are worthy to take rank with others engaged in the same task by different methods" -- William T. Sherman addressing the Grand Army of the Republic in 1883

He's sacked at the end of the Interphase.

You have to adopt the political action "Appoint new General". Once executed (end of Interphase), the new general is selected automatically and randomly by the game. You will receive him as a reinforcement.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am really starting to have fun with this game, really looks to be a gem in the near future.
