Manual Sections

Sat Nov 29, 2008 2:21 pm

The big manual is still underway, mostly because we had to replace at the last moment the man in charge, and also now we also have to fine tune a lot of things :(

Anyway, to immediately help, we are providing here some important sections that may help you starting in the game... more will follow asap :)

They are:

- The August 1914 specials (helpful to jump in)
- Diplomacy
- Diplomatic Appendices (most useful to calculate your strategies)
- Air Warfare
- Interphase Description
- Political Actions and Appendices
- Technologies
- Understanding the Game
- Production
- Doctrine & Tactics

These are MS-Word documents. We are open to any one (or more) of you proofreading / changing / adapting the content. If you do so, please post here AND send me a PM with your edited changes (use a different color font please)

The chapter on 1914 states you can choose 1 option to go with a war plan, but in Tamas' beta AAR he chooses 2.

Which is correct?

I think Tamas is right: two options, two choices.

Thanks, very helpful, will the manual be released a few chapters at a time? or after a few more, then the remainder.

With the Diplomacy section. It doesn't explain what the merge diplomats button does in the diplomat management screen?

In the Air Warfare section it mentions naval air units having an anchor? I haven't seen this in 1916 or 1918 scenarios.

Otherwise I read through them and only error I noticed was Kiev was spelt Kiew.

Yes, this needs indeed to be explained.

You are right. I have to add an anchor sprite on the counter. Well, noted as bug. ;)

Hi,

Not yet installed the game :( , but i examined the "WW1_Sect13_Air_Warfare_mod" doc.
With a nickname like mine, (Jasta V:neener :) , some comments are to be expected.....
Here they are: just added some historic notes, and an observation over Action Range.

True, as PhilThib pointed out!

Indeed it was RedBaron 3D best time.....
Great game for that age!
I started entering the net, but I was used to select so strange nickname, that I was the first to forget them...... I was used to spent hours per day on RedBaron 3D: I was enrosted to Jasta 5... Impossible to forget a JastaV nickname.

I'll search and I'll ask friends for the pictures of the Italian aviation pioneers, but it could be hard!

jastaV, it is nice that my nickname comes from another old simulator, Nikel is a city in the kola peninsula that appeared in this game

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-19_Stealth_Fighter

The name of the city comes from nickel processing, it is a very polluted place
