Snowbound France ... in May?

Title says it. March/April was snowfree in Europe, May sees almost all of France and most of the Balkans suddenly covered in Snow. Working as designed?

Ive noticed snow in may(which is possiable) but had no snow in others areas if I remember correctly-even Russia.

In 40 and some 
years I've never seen snow in Paris in May 
! And here it even seems to go as far south as Lyon ... Definite impossibility in reality.

This is the result of a percentaged table, the probablility of snow is extremely small in May...but exists...bad luck 
Nevertheless, I'll check the weather table just to be sure... or you can do it yourself (see Modding folder)

It's probably just due to the recent tilt of the Earth 90 degrees on it's axis.

In March and April there can be some snow in north of France and Belgium, but not enough lasting to blanket anything. May is too late, often temperature attains or exceeds 20° C .

After browsing a bit this site I can only think that climate is synonymous of change, and yes you have here one of those sceptical with climate change

A famous record of snowfall in France was May 18th ! 1935, 3cm of snow covered Paris and almost 20 cm in Normandy.

Ok, it may occur twice a century, on one day, and surely melt the next, the ground isn't snow covered.

Finally I found the reason... and it was a "bug" very very hard to spot: the update of the meteo was done always taking into account the month(s) of the previous turn! That's why you see the snow in May! The engine thought it was March...
This should be already fixed with 1.0.4e.

On the other hand, it seems when it's sunny, it's sunny over the entire world, is there any variation in weather patterns. When it snows is the entire world covered in snow? doees it rain?

It does rain...and usually, summer months are considered "sunny"....the weather model is not overly detailed
