Event.....BooBoo?????

Playing the allieds and a event came up that stated that USA will support Russia, France, Great Britian and Italy. Well Italy went with the central powers and has been attacking France.

That would seem its off or did I miss something?

In fact the US diplomatic statement was made prior to the Italian decision, hence the 'oddity'.... In 1914-1915, Italian diplomacy is extremely erratic, the leitmotiv being "Sacred Egoism"; .i.e. Italy will go with the highest bidder
