Really enjoying playing my way through this but want to figure out if there is an easy way to see which units have to conduct mandatory attacks because at the moment I think that is what is stopping me from moving the military phase on. If this is not the case what else would stop you from completeing this phase. Thanks for any help

I believe these units are highlighted in red.

Units scheduled for mandatory attacks have red flags above their heads. If I am not mistaken, the flags turn green as soon as these units did their mandatory move.

Thank You Now I see the flags and also that if you hover the hand over the unit the destination of the attack is also given. There alot to this one and dont you just think the events are a fantastic idea although i've got no real idea how to use them properly yet.

I really think this game to be yet great. unfortunatly, we're struggling to grasp the GUI basis because a lack of proper documentation and a nasty bug is affecting some players. but the more i'm discovering about WW1 the more I feel we have got for WW1 what Victory in the Pacific is for Pacific theater in WW2. Obviously WW1 is much more achieved than Empire in Arms.

Agree with you about the documentation and alot of sympathy for those suffering with the freeze bug. That said however I feel there is always too much negative comment and not enough vocal support for any of these new ventures. Ageod have perhaps the best track record of all in supporting their products after release and continuing to improve on the initial product. I think this will be no exception and the product already has a great deal to recommend it. After all you buy a CD and find you dont like half the tracks the artist will not rerecord them for you same goes for a film with bad acting a trashy storyline you pays your money and takes your chance. At least in this you can rest assured that much which isn't right yet will be put right a few months from now. The work and effort that's gone into this is worthy of our support. The rewards for me are already worth it I'm having a blast working as much out as I can as I go and posting more than ever. Let's end by saying that this cup is half Full and not half empty as some would have us believe.
Cheers again for listening

On "mandatory attacks" the only red flags I see are over French Units and I am playing as the Germans ?? I'm lost here. Help. August 1914 second move and I can't finish the turn.

Austrians? With the historical (Conrad Plan) the Austrians need to attack into Russia. Assuming you play the 2 players campaign, of course.

Yes Tamas. I was concentrating on the Western Front to learn the mechanics and I was ignoring the Austrians. They had mandatory attacks.
Found it out right before I read your post.

Thanks.
