Detachments part 2

I’m trying to attach the detachment in the top left corner to HQ IX in bottom left.





I right click on detachment and drag to HQ to attach.






I choose IX HQ from drop down list.







The unit attaches to HQ but also moves to its same location.

Is this working how it is supposed to?

You do not need to drag the attachment to the HQ to assign it. Just right click and hold button down on the detachment,then move it slightly,without leaving the area.Then release the button and the attachment list should come up.Then you can attach to the army you want or make it independent.I hope this answers your question.

Thanks for that tip, I didn't know you had to hold the right click and move the cursor slightly before releasing to get the list to come up.

Ah ok just tried that and its works as should.
So what i have been doing is a loophole of sorts.
