River effects on Combat

Sat Dec 27, 2008 10:21 pm

Havent been able to find the answer to this yet.

Do rivers have any effect on combat, in terms of giving the defender a bonus or the attacker a penalty when attacking across a river?

I think I read the answer some were but for the life of me I can't remember. I may have confused it with another game. I bounce from ww1 to witp and acw. Sorry I can't answer it. :)

There is an event that says something about negating the river bonus, So I would assume there is a river penalty. But I couldn't tell you what it is.Sorry

There is a +1 bonus in favor of defender on first combat round for minor rivers (all rounds for major rivers). Check section 2 Understanding the Game in the manual sections I have already posted.. :coeurs:

Does the engineer event cancel that penalty entirely?
