Why would the AI play events that help me?

See screenshot – Happy to see Rasputin assassinated but wouldn’t it have been better for the CP simply to discard the event?

Strange indeed...unless playing that event allows the AI to play another one later (for instance if disappearance of Rasputin is a pre-requirement of a future event)...but I am not sure the AI is that devious :mdr:

I remember that "Rasputin assassinated" is an automatic event, where AI has nothing else to do unless playing it... ;)

So AI probably drew the event and had to play it! :D

Well, may be in such a case, the text message should tell the player...the Entente player is puzzled that his opponent be nice with him...and the Central Powers player would need to understand why this happens...

May be the text should be: "Historical event received by [drawing nation name]...." instead of "Event played..." which lead to misinterpretation... ;)

Yes these are automatic events for sure, and yes, it can lead to confusion. :) But it is working as intended.
