In the second tutorial, after you have detached the cavalry unit, it tells you to select your Russian HQ and drag it into the province to the south. What do you click and drag?
If I click on the HQ unit in the box at the lower left, it just opens the unit up and shows me the corps inside it. After trying everything I could and staring at the screen for 5 minutes, I can't figure it out. I'm sure it's obvious, I just can't see it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Figured it out myself. For the benefit of anyone else who has the same question: You click and drag the soldier figure on the map. If you have two different stacks in the same area, you can first click on one of the little "health bars" below the soldier figure to select the stack you want and then click and drag the soldier to another area to get it to move.
So, I have finished the tutorials and, even though the game is a little rough, there is something about it that is very appealing. It's a little quirky with the whole deployment, reserves, sieges, battles thing, but I like it because it is not cookie cutter.
And, as someone else said, the music is excellent! It really pulls you in.
If we can get a better manual and if someone would do a detailed AAR of the first several turns of a scenario, that would really help. I think this may be a sleeper hit.

For me, it is just impossible to play tutorial 2 to an end. It is impossible to detach the cossak corps of I. Army in resolution 1920 x 1200 (I have tried detachment of other corps in other scenarios and it works fine).
After that, I have changed resolution to ugyl 1024 x 768 and action with the I. Army works fine. Detachment of the cossaks in II. Army also works but when I try to put VIII cavalry to the cossak stack, I generate a new stack and are not able to put this new stack back to one of the two origin ones. Again, I have tried the same procedure in other scenarios and it works fine.
After trying again and again this second tutorial, I am sure that the fault is not on my side !

You mean you cannot correctly aim over the stack to get the merge menu??
It can be a little tricky to find the sweet spot, and probably more so at higher resolutions.
As a work around, you can select both cavalry corps on the panel with control+click and just drag them on the region together. You will skip one step
