Unit icon question

Mon Nov 10, 2008 3:58 pm

What is the number that is on the bottom right of the unit icon shown on the main map? They all seem to have a value of 3? Is it anything like a victory point score if that army is destroyed, since it is similiar (but in a different colour) to the VP number for objective towns.

On a related note, can the number be shwon as white for British troops as the black doesn't stand out at all against the navy blue.

I suppose you are reffering to the 1916 or 1918 scenario. You can see sandbags around the unit 3D sprite base... in all cases, the number is the entrenchment level (i.e. the strength of the trenches)... this number directly adds to the defense value of each unit, making them even more difficult to crack in battle
