Congrats your wargame of the year

Tue Apr 01, 2008 8:27 pm

Well not sure where this should go so put it her...ok if ya gotta move it.

I pointed out in one post that our breed of wargaming is a niche market at best in a market sea of consol doom clones and WoW clones for PC.......but I know of a game distributer at a site called maxtrix that tries to cater to our hunger by feeding us the newest and best wargames humanly available.

Last time there I saw that they had listed this game as, 'Game of the year Honors'.........not sure if by them or a magazine given by a war gaming mag.

This is an independant site who only reditributes games so they have no bias whatsoever which makes it quite an achievment as you have big time competition there from other notable designers in the field such as Gary Grisby, John Tiller, Talonsoft etc who other hard core gamers will def. recognize the names.

2007 JUN 22 - The Wargamer Review
"(...) a serious contender, in my opinion, for Strategy Game of the Year. And it may also be the best Grand Strategic simulation of the Civil War ever devised. It combines a blessedly intuitive – yet actually rather complex – interface, marvelous depth-of-play, a compelling sense of epic drama, and a handsome, distinctive look that is also cunningly designed to add to the “period” atmosphere ..."
