Creating new Groups

Having finally gotten the addition of new units to the DB debugged, I want to locate the new general in his own group in Region #510, Altamaha. In the "Setup" page I copied the "Boston Army" group and changed the relevant information (name of group, location), then added in my general as a unit just below. Converted files, saved and moved as usual.
Unfortunately, there appears to be more that needs to be done to set up a new group, because the script is now spawning a huge number of errors. I hae looked at the aliases and the local strings, but it appears these need not be modified.
What else needs to be changed?
